[Feature] Our national flower lotus, Symbolizing purity, beauty, health, honor, commitment and knowledge.

I asked my friends for an interview regarding contributions. Thank you for the kind person who responded to the interview. The interview was online. #Stay home

In this article, I’m going to feature Linda from Vietnam. but she in living in the US.

Let’s get to the interview

Me : What is most memorable trip ever and why
Linda : My most memorable trip so far would be to New York City with my friends last year in 2019. We rented two vans since there were twelve people. We drove for about six hours while chatting, playing music, and even had a bit of a race to see which van would get to the next stop first. When we got to the city though, it was indeed very crowded. There was a lot of walking but we had a lot of fun as a group. Taking many pictures, shopping, dining, visiting some attractions and landmarks. This trip was the most memorable to me because of my friends.

Me : What is your country proud of and why
Linda : I think a country can be proud of a lot of things. For instance, Vietnam is proud of our delicious food like Phở and Bánh Mì. We are proud of our ballads which are touching and heartfelt. Our country also holds lovely sceneries and our national flower is the lotus. Symbolizing purity, beauty, health, honor, commitment and knowledge. I’m proud for that but I’m not sure how to explain my reasoning of why. I’m just grateful for what Vietnam has become so far even though there’s always room for improvement.

Me : I have visited Ho Chi Minh City. The lotus is one of my favorite flowers. and I tried them in Japan. 🤣

Linda : 🤣 I thought you tried them in Vietnam.

Me : What is your favorite dish? In your country’s cuisine
Linda : My favorite Vietnamese cuisine at the moment is Bún Riêu, which is a type of rice noodle soup. It is a tomato broth with crab favor base, containing rice vermicelli and topped with minced crab, fried tofu, fish balls, bean sprouts, spear mints, other vegetables, etc. But you could add the toppings to your liking really. There’s no limit. It has a fresh sour and slightly sweet taste. Just be careful if you’re wearing white or light color clothes because the soup can leave stains.

Me : I have never tried it but I must try. Thank you for sharing the info!

リンダ (Linda), I’m happy to know a lot about your travel experience. ありがとう!💃🏻
